The pageantry industry in Kenya has taken on a brilliant new turn with the Miss World Kenya franchise. Normally we would wait till a month or less to crown a beauty with unmatched brains to represent Kenya at the Miss World title competition held annually.
Last weekend saw a massive county auditioning and crowning at Gskyye Lounge, Westlands where ladies came in to try their luck in representing their counties at the upcoming final national competitions to be held in Malindi on 30th December.
Why crown Miss World Kenya 2016 this early? you may
be wondering. Well, bearing such a title is no small deal. A lot of training, research and preparation (mind, body & wardrobe of course) is a major requirement.
Tharaka-Nithi County was not left behind, and we caught up with the newly crowned beauty from the county as she shared a few details about her self and her dreams for her county.
Tell us a little about you: My name is Jude Riziki, a final year student at MKU doing Journalism and Mass Communication.
What are your physical attributes? Ha ha. Well, I am 5’7, light complexion, I love to don my short blond hair, and I do own a contentious smile.
Wow! do you have a talent? Yes. Modeling is my talent.
Hobbies?: I love a good meal so Cooking, then travelling, swimming, blogging, reading and documenting.
What are your ambitions?: I aspire to be a successful media personality and change lives using my talent, especially the lives of the less privileged in my beloved county.
